Refund policy

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. Please see our return policy below as some items have exceptions.

General Return Policy Requirements:

  • Within 14 days of receipt of your order, you may return or exchange any hobby item in original condition. Holiday season gift exceptions do not apply.
  • All products must be unused, unassembled in the original packaging and with the manufacturer's original blank warranty form and instruction manual.
  • Simply email customersupport@metaldetector.com for a return authorization code and our special return address before shipping any product back for a refund, store credit or exchange.
  • Refunds are issued to the same credit card, debit card, gift certificate, or other form of payment used in the original transaction.
  • Shipping, handling and insurance fees of $20 for your original ground shipment will be deducted from your refund for non-defective returns. Return shipping and insurance on non-defective merchandise is your responsibility.
  • Specialty products such as Security, Industrial, Nokta Makro, GroundTech, Invenio, JeoHunter, DeepHunter, JW Fishers Underwater Search & Recovery and special order items are not returnable.

Defective Merchandise:

If you receive a defective product, you must email customersupport@metaldetector.com within 7 days of receipt. We will pick up the equipment and deliver a replacement unit to you at no charge.

Order Cancellation Policy:

Please submit any cancellation request immediately to customersupport@metaldetector.com. Email cancellations must contain the order number and the email address that was used to place the order. This information must be identical to the information originally submitted on your order. Please provide your contact information so that we may contact you if we have questions in regards to canceling your order.

Our office hours at M-F, 8am - 5pm PT. Cancellation requests will be processed during these hours. Outside of these hours, your cancellation request won't be received until the following business day.

Every effort will be made to accommodate the cancellation of your order, providing your order has not been shipped out or packed by our warehouse team.
